Longtime ViewPoint Editor, Kitty Shulman, MSN, AMB-BC, will be retiring in January 2022 from her roles as Editor of AAACN’s ViewPoint publication since 2012, and, since 2014, as the Editor of AAACN’s Perspectives in Ambulatory Care Nursing column in Nursing Economic$.
Kitty has mentored countless aspiring authors, helping them polish their articles until they shine. She has dedicated significant amounts of time finding authors and working with them to ensure members receive the highest quality articles on ambulatory care nursing. For these reasons, Kitty earned the President’s Leadership Award in 2015 and the Above and Beyond Award in 2021.
We are happy to announce Karol K. DiBello, DNP, FNP-BC, ACHPN, has been appointed the next ViewPoint Editor, and Mary Jo Vetter, DNP, RN, AGPCNP-BC, FAANP, will be the incoming Editor of the Perspectives in Ambulatory Care Nursing Column. Both transitions will occur in January 2022.
Karol is an Associate Professor of Nursing at Columbia University School of Nursing, Masters Direct Entry Program, a member of AAACN since 2016, a ViewPoint Leadership Column Editor since 2018, and AAACN Annual Conference speaker in 2019.

Mary Jo Vetter, DNP, RN, AGPCNP-BC is a Clinical Associate Professor and Director of the Doctor of Nursing Practice Program at New York University Meyers College of Nursing. She has been a AAACN member since 2013 and has been involved in AAACN volunteer groups, including serving as Chair of the Telehealth Nursing Practice Special Interest Group (SIG), a member of the Telehealth Task Force, and was a AAACN Annual Conference speaker in 2018.
